Dear St. Paul’s Family,
As we approach another season of stewardship, I would like to reflect on what makes St. Paul’s such a special place in our lives and in the life of our community. For generations, our church has been a place of worship, fellowship, comfort, and service. We have inherited a wonderful legacy, and with that inheritance comes the responsibility to preserve and strengthen it for those who will follow us.
One of our most visible responsibilities is the care of our beautiful and historic church building. St. Paul’s is more than bricks and mortar. It is a sacred space where generations have gathered to celebrate life’s joys, seek comfort in times of sorrow, and grow in their faith. Maintaining a historic building requires continuing attention and financial resources. As stewards of this remarkable place, we have an obligation not only to care for it today but to ensure that it remains a welcoming spiritual home for generations to come.
Yet stewardship involves much more than maintaining our building or making a financial pledge. It also means giving generously of our time and talents. So much of what makes St. Paul’s a vibrant parish depends upon the willingness of parishioners to volunteer. Whether serving in worship, helping with fellowship activities, participating in parish committees, caring for our grounds, or assisting with outreach programs, every contribution of time makes a difference. We all have gifts to share, and our church is stronger when we put those gifts to work.
Equally important is our calling to serve those beyond our church walls. Throughout our community, there are individuals and families struggling to meet basic needs, children who need encouragement and support, and neighbors facing difficult circumstances. Our Christian faith calls us to respond with compassion and generosity. Through our outreach ministries, charitable giving, and personal acts of kindness, we can make a meaningful difference in their lives. Helping those in need is not simply one of the activities of our parish; it is central to our mission as Christians.
As we consider our stewardship commitments for the coming year, I encourage each of us to think about the many ways we can support St. Paul’s. Our financial pledges sustain our worship, ministries, outreach, and the care of our historic building. Our volunteer efforts bring those ministries to life. Together, these gifts enable us to fulfill our mission to know Christ, to worship Christ, to serve Christ, and to make Him known.
Thank you for all that you do for St. Paul’s. I ask that you prayerfully consider how you can contribute your time, talents, and financial resources in the year ahead. Together, we can honor the legacy entrusted to us while building a strong and caring parish for the future.
