Advent Series for Adults

Walking in the Footsteps of Grief: Finding Light in the Darkness

St. Paul’s will offer a three-week Advent series about walking the pathway of grief through words, visual arts, and tactile arts.
We think of grief most often when someone close to us dies. However, grief comes from many actions and angles: a financial crisis, a diagnosis, challenging relationships, the loss of a job or a difficult work environment, just to name a few. How do we find ways to walk through these dark times? This Advent we will share three creative responses to grief that generate light along the pathway to renewal.
Hear how creativity using words (writing, journaling, poetry), visual arts (watercolors, painting, sketching), and the tactile arts (clay, pottery) help shine the light on three journeys through grief.
Our series begins Wednesday, November 30th at 6:30pm in the Undercroft. Join us for the 5:30 Evening Prayer & Eucharist and stay; or come at 6:15 for a light supper. The program will begin at 6:30, concluding no later than 7:30pm.

For Children through 5th Grade

A NURSERY is available for infants through 3 years (located on the 1st Floor inside the red door.)

CHILDREN 3 YEARS THROUGH 5th GRADE:  Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
The youngest children lead us to the deepest mysteries of our faith.  As they fall in love with the mustard seed (Matthew 13:31-32) they help us discover that the kingdom of God is a mystery of growth and transformation.  Like the mustard tree, which hosts birds in its branches, the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd was born from a tiny “seed”, an unexpected encounter with children and God’s Word.

Please contact Cindy Mock with any inquiries about Catechesis.

Please take a moment and complete this form to update age information for your children.
