GOD”—”Waking Up To God” is the title of the first chapter of Barbara Brown Taylor’s book An Altar in the World. It also expresses our hope in joining her in opening ourselves to the truth that, as she puts it, “the most ordinary things are drenched in divine possibility.” Marcus Borg writes, “this book is sacramental: it mediates the life it describes.”
Together, let’s open ourselves to the hope of that life with Taylor’s book as our guide. We will meet in the Gilchrist Room. Copies of the book will be provided and The Rev. Bob Snell will lead.
